UP Orlando changes lives.

We empower and inspire good people experiencing bad situations to uplift themselves and their families up and out of poverty to self-sufficiency. Our Mission to help the community, is immensely rewarding and the most important work we can do. So we do it with joy, passion and a strong belief in our purpose.

Our work would not be possible without you, our valued volunteers. Volunteers support our Member Share Grocery Program (MSGP), a food subsidy model that fills the gaps for families between food pantry assistance and being able to afford going to a traditional grocery store. Members contribute a nominal handling fee towards the cost of the items they select, giving them access to food, hygiene, and household items at an average savings of 60-70% of their monthly household budget. These savings help families not have to choose between food – quality food – and paying other essential bills.

We rely on volunteers to keep our shelves stocked and our store clean and organized for our families. The valuable work you do in collaboration with our staff ensures that our members – your neighbors– have a dignified shopping experience while utilizing our program. We believe everyone deserves that.

Volunteers Lift Us UP!

It is the only through generous investment of time and talent that we are able to lift the lives of struggling families in our community.

Volunteers ensure the smooth daily operations of our campus, so that our financial resources can be utilized in the most effective way possible. In 2019 a remarkable 58,941 hours of service, valued at $1.45 Million*, were recorded by our volunteers. We simply could not operate without you! *According to Independent Sector’s 2017 Florida Value of Volunteer Time Report.
